Java Ring Business Card Applet Demo
(Designed for the Java Plug-in version 1.2 and later)

The BusinessCard 'RingLet' must have already been loaded into the Java Ring.

Enter the serial port name where your ring reader is located, then click Start. After clicking Start, the applet will require about 50/30 seconds with Communicator/IE to download the required files (56K modem). The applet then starts looking for the ring, and the status message should change from "Status" to "No ring detected". When the ring is detected, the applet will attempt to read and display the data that was previously stored using the BusinessCard 'RingLet'.

Note: If you wish to change the port name after clicking Start, you may need to restart the browser before doing so (this is a Plug-in 1.2 issue, not an issue with the applet).

Reporting Problems

If you observe problems with this applet, please open the Java Plug-in Control Panel, select Enable Java Console, restart your browser, run the applet again, and send the contents of the control panel to eng@serialio.com.
