What is SI_SCOPE?

SI_SCOPE is a comprehensive RS232 datascope for the PC that is used to debug, analyze, or document serial communications. With SI_SCOPE you are able to view the data on any RS232 line from your PC. No more guess work! With SI_SCOPE you can finally analyze your communications in real time.

SI_SCOPE Professional gives you the added flexibility to perform communications analysis under Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows 95, Windows ME, or MS-DOS! SI_SCOPE Professional comes complete with the DLL'S and Drivers necessary to perform communications analysis under Windows at baud rates up to 115Kbps!

How does SI_SCOPE work?

SI_SCOPE transforms your PC into a RS232 analyzer without the need of expensive hardware or plug in boards. All that is required is a dedicated PC with two available serial ports.

Is it easy to use?

Very easy! Unlike similar products with cryptic interfaces SI_SCOPE's menu driven architecture requires little or no learning curve. You can be productive with it right out of the box and refer to the manual as needed.

	Fully configurable UART parameters with support for user defined non standard baud rates.
	Capture data in selectable formats including ASCII, EBCDIC, and HEX
	Built in breakout box allows real time monitoring of all DCE and DTE control signals. Control signals can also be recorded to the data stream allowing you to analyze where and when signal changes occur.
	File Capture option allows session to be recorded to disk as it happens. Included conversion program compiles data into a binary (record format included in documentation), ASCII, or documented text file. ASCII format allows for user defined field delimiters for easy integration into third party word processing and spread sheet programs.
	Flexible trigger mechanism allows you to activate and deactivate data capture based on incoming data streams (wildcards are supported!)
	Popup rulers, ASCII charts, and time cursors provide the tools you need to analyze data patterns.
	Search Engine can scan through captured data for any data pattern.
	Time stamps included on all captured data with a 1 microsecond resolution (1 millisecond under Windows) allowing you to perform accurate timing analysis for high performance communications development.
	Automatic detection and support for NS16550 UARTS.
	Supports any 2 user defined port addresses and any 2 irqs. Shared irq multi port cards as well as PCMCIA devices are also supported.
	Included Passive Cable allows for non intrusive bi-directional monitoring of all data and control signals.

	When purchased with an optional Active Cable SI_SCOPE allows controlled interaction with the serial line from the keyboard. Send data to one or more devices while observing responses. Please note that the Active Cable is optional. SI_SCOPE comes complete with a Passive Cable for bi-directional monitoring.
	When purchased with an optional Active Cable SI_SCOPE's programmable macros allow complicated data strings to be recorded and replayed at the touch of a key. Macros can be sent out one or both ports.
