This document outlines how to implement a simple, low-cost, easy-to-use mobile ticket checkin solution.

Requirements:
SerialMagic Professional Power Upgrade software for Windows Mobile (Touch) 5.x, 6.x and later
Scanfob 2002, or KDC200 Bluetooth barcode scanner2

The Windows Mobile device is loaded with SerialMagic Professional Power Upgrade (SMPPU) (click here to download SMPPU )

Once SerialMagic is installed the user simply runs the setup wizard and picks the "Ticket Check-in" option. The wizard also offers the option to pair a Bluetooth scanner. Note scanner pairing can be done using the wizard or at another time using "Choose new device" option of SerialMagic (see SerialMagic support pages for more documentation and details).

Put the scanner in pairing mode when prompted by SerialMagic. For the KDC200 scan the "Start Pairing" barcode (download and print this sheet for control barcodes) or use the KDC200 menu option to start pairing. SerialMagic will discover nearby Bluetooth devices, pick the Bluetooth scanner from the list, and tap OK.
Put the LaserChamp scanner in pairing mode by pressing the scan button.

After SerialMagic Professional is setup for Ticket Checkin, and paired over Bluetooth with the desired Bluetooth scanner, the user Starts SerialMagic, and scans the ~DB-IMPORT barcode to import the CSV file to the database. Now the user simply scans ticket barcodes of the ticket holders, and allows valid ticket holders access.
Once a ticket holder has been checked in, the check-in time is displayed when that ticket is scanned again.
Incredibly low cost and efficient ticket check-in can be done with the mobile ticket check-in solution.

Using SerialMagic Professional Power Upgrade feature, ticket check-in data can be easily sent to any email address, FTP server, and more using the iScanList.com interface.
