ZThinCableTM RS-232What cable do I need? This page is designed to help you in choosing what model of ZThinCable you need. RS-232 connectivity is so simple that sometimes it can seem confusing. The basis of choosing a ZThinCable model is the type/gender of connector you want to plug ZThinCable into. Note the -X in the model number signifies the cable length in feet, so an M-DB9-4 is a 4' cable with a male connector.
Note that flexibility is not scarificed when choosing one model over. When used with a null modem adaptor or cable (and a gender changer, depending on the model of null modem adaptor or cable) ZThinCable 'becomes' the alternate model. For example the M-DB9 used with a null modem adaptor 'becomes' a F-DB9. |
