Palm Multi-Connector Serial RS-232 Cable

The Palm Multi-Connector cable provides communication with RS-232 serial devices. Note that due to design of the Palm multi-connector, the cable only provides transmit and recieve data signals.
Use the Palm Multi-Connector cable with barcode scanners like the LaserChamp GPS recievers, sensors, network equipment, and most RS-232 compliant serial equipment.
This cable will work with HotSync (at 19,200 bits per second).

Note: The power jack is used to provide power to the Palm.
External power is NOT required for the cable to work.

These cables also work with virtually all applications that require an RS-232 serial cable. The cable has a DB-9 Male connector on one end, and a Palm Multi-connector on the other.
The cable works with Palms that have the Multi-Connector - Palm Tx, LifeDrive, Tungsten E2, Tungsten T5, Treo 650, Treo 700p, Treo 700w. (see different palm faces)

There is also a version of the Palm Multi-Connector cable available without the power jack.

*Note: Some RS-232 serial cables have been found to not work properly with SerialMagic software. This is because the cables themselves are not manufactured according to Palm specifications.
The Palm Multi-Connector cable works with RS-232 serial devices that support the '3-wire' interface i.e. Rx, Tx, Gnd (Receive data, Transmit data, Ground). Like the eTrex GPS shown below connected to a Treo 650.
