This document outlines how to configure an AllFlex Stick Reader RFID scanner to use with SerialMagic Professional. 1) Power on the AllFlex RFID Stick Reader 2) Download and Install the AllFlex Stick Reader Configurator, found here: 3) Use the AllFlex Stick Reader Configurator to change the Field Delimiter to NONE

Windows Desktop - Specific Instructions 5a) If connecting the AllFlex Stick Reader to Windows Bluetooth using built-in Bluetooth, or a generic BT adapter: 5b) If connecting the AllFlex Stick Reader to Windows Desktop using Serialio's BlueSnap USB Adapter: 6) From the SerialMagic main screen, select "Application Settings" as seen below:
7) Next, click on "Actions" and set the Start Flag to NONE, to match the "Field Delimiter" of Stick Reader, as seen below:
8) Now that the AllFlex Stick Reader and SerialMagic software have been configured to work with each other,
9) Once Connected, SerialMagic status will say "Connected." You may hear an audio tone. 10) Next, simply minimize SerialMagic (if it is still in the foreground), launch your target application (Excel, Word, etc.) **As long as SerialMagic and the AllFlex Stick Reader are Connected, wherever the cursor is that is where the data will go!**
Windows Mobile - Specific Instructions 5) Next, launch SerialMagic Professional software on the host device that is to receive data. 6) "STOP" SerialMagic if it is running. Goto Setup > Select Device, and choose "Other" as the device type. Click OK.
7) Next, goto Setup > Actions, and set the Start Flag to NONE, to match the "Field Delimiter" of Stick Reader.
8) Now that the AllFlex Stick Reader and SerialMagic software have been configured to work with each other, 9) Once Connected, SerialMagic status will say "Connected." You may hear an audio tone and feel a vibration. 10) Next, simply minimize SerialMagic (if it is still in the foreground), launch your target application (Excel, Word, etc.) **As long as SerialMagic and the AllFlex Stick Reader are Connected, wherever the cursor is that is where the data will go!** Note: the default Bluetooth PIN code for the Stick Reader (when using the AllFlex Stick Reader Bluetooth option) is lower case “default”. In the example above the Stick Reader was used with serial cable connected to a BlueSnap AAA dongle, and in this case the Bluetooth PIN is whatever the PIN of the BlueSnap AAA is set to.
