Behavior: SerialMagic is connected to a Bluetooth barcode scanner or other device on Windows Vista. The system falls asleep or goes into hibernation.
Once the system awakes from sleep or hibernation, SerialMagic is unable to connect to the device, and no data is captured from the device to your application.

Problem: This is a known Bluetooth issue with Microsoft Vista. It can also affect USB devices.

Solution: Microsoft has made available a patch to download and install to fix the problem (among other related issues).
You can view the Knowledge Base article and find the download link for the patch from Microsoft Support.

If you are having other Bluetooth connectivity issues, you may want to consider downloading the above patch, as well as the ones found here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941997/en-us
