Upload to iScanList.com fails when connected to Vista but WMDC not launched

Behavior: SerialMagic is connected via USB cable to Vista machine BUT Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) is not started. i.e. you can browse files on the Windows Mobile device, but WMDC is not active. When SerialMagic does upload to iScanList.com, the upload fails with unexpected error.

Problem: This is a known issue with Vista when WMDC is not running.

Solution: Start WMDC and let it connect to the Windows Mobile device.
