Licensing

SerialPort is licensed Per Developer Seat. When multiple developers will use SerialPort, multiple licenses need to be purchased. For example, if SerialPort is installed on a network then a license must be purchased for each developer who will have access to the files. Once you deploy your application there is generally no runtime license so long as the end user installs the software. Check license details click here. javax.comm.SerialPort JAR

  • Supports javax.comm.SerialPort version 2.
  • Runs on all SerialPort packages (except Lite versions).
  • Provides javax.comm.SerialPort functionality on more platforms than any other product in the world.
  • One all-platform developer license (i.e. this license is good for distribution on ALL platforms).

  • Software package and one developer license for selected platform.

Multiple Platforms

If you purchase one package and later decide to provide support for your product on another platform, you need to purchase the standard license(s) for the additional platform(s), or purchase a Platform, Professional or Enterprise license (for each developer).
