This document provides instructions on how to pair your scanner with Serialio's applications for Android in SPP mode. Please note that not all scanners sold by Serialio support SPP mode. To see which Bluetooth mode your scanner supports, click here. Make sure your scanner is in SPP mode. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your Android device. Make your scanner discoverable and connectable. Navigate to Android Bluetooth settings. Scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. Tap on your scanner's name when it appears in the discovered devices list. Kiosk BLE models have no built-in batteries and auto power-on once you apply power via the micro-USB cable—which is ideal for many attendances and check-in solutions. However, the micro-USB power cable must be a CHARGE-ONLY cable (that is, a cable without the ability to send or receive data).
