How To Setup idChamp® RS3x Switches

NOTE: These instructions are for RS3x units shipped starting in late 2020. For switch settings on older RS3 units, click here

The idChamp® RS3x RFID-NFC reader is a wireless BLE device. With optional HID firmware, it can optionally work in Bluetooth HID mode.

Instructions

Power off your RS3, remove the four lid screws, then remove the lid.

Locate switches S3, S5.

Use a small plastic device to change the switch settings if needed.

S2 is not visible with the lid off, the unit must be removed from the case to view S2.
Only if someone has changed the switch settings due to experimentation or malicious intent, is there a need to check this switch.
S2 switch settings must be 1,2 OFF and 3,4 ON.
