The idChamp® RS3x RFID-NFC reader is a wireless BLE device. With optional HID firmware, it can optionally work in wireless HID mode.
Instructions
Power off your RS3x, remove the four lid screws, then remove the lid.
Locate switches S3, S5.
Use a small plastic device to change the switch settings if needed.
Note: Image below shows the RS3x DIP switches for battery operation (power on/off with RS3x button). For RS3x kiosk mode, S3-3 is ON.

S2 is not visible with the lid off, the unit must be removed from the case to view S2.
Only if someone has changed the switch settings due to experimentation or malicious intent, is there a need to check this switch.
S2 switch settings must be 1,2 OFF and 3,4 ON. For RS3x kiosk mode, S3-3 is ON.
